Czech Republic

Teachers (grades 6-12) and two-year college teachers of art, English as a second language, English literature, music, social studies (including civic education), science, or physical education.

Language of instruction is English. Fluency in Czech not required; some ability useful.

France

Teachers (grades 7-12) and two- or four-year college faculty teaching French. Teacher’s U.S. assignment should consist only of French language, literature and civilization.

Fluency in French required.

Ghana

Teachers (grades 9-12) of social studies, math and science.

English.

Greece Classics Seminar

Teachers (grades 7 through 12, two-year and four-year colleges only) in the fields of social studies, Greek language, or ancient or art history or subjects that touch on the Greek world.

Greek is not required, but some ability useful. English will be the language of the seminar.

Hungary

Teachers (grades 7-12) of mathematics, science, (biology, chemistry, computer science, geography and physics), English, English as a second language, foreign language, history, art, music or education.

Language of instruction is English. Fluency in Hungarian not required; some ability highly useful.

India

Teachers (grades 9-12) of English, math, or science.

English.

Italy Classics Seminar

Teachers (grades 9-12) and two-year college teachers who teach courses in Latin, Greek or the Classics. Preference will be given to those who have a Master’s degree in the Classics and have not studied previously in Italy.

Fluency in Italian not required.

Mexico

Teachers and foreign language coordinators (Elementary, secondary school teachers and two-year college faculty).

Fluency in Spanish required for language teachers.

South Africa

Teachers (grades 8-12) of science and math.

English.

Switzerland

Teachers (grades 7-12) and two- or four-year college faculty teaching German, French, Italian, English, ESL, Spanish, Russian, Latin, economics, mathematics, science, history, geography, art, music, physical education or computer science.

Proficiency in German, French, or Italian strongly recommended. Lang. of instruction is generally English, except when teaching a foreign lang., Some Swiss schools may request U.S. teachers to teach non-lang. classes in German, French, or Italian.

Turkey

Teachers (grades 7-12) of English, English as a second language, science (including computer science) or mathematics.

Language of instruction is English. Fluency in Turkish not required; some ability helpful.

United Kingdom

Elementary and secondary school teachers and two-year college faculty. Any subject field.

English.
