Dates: Two non-simultaneous three to six-week periods during the academic year. Specific dates to be determined by mutual agreement of the participating institutions.

Level / Subject: Elementary and secondary school, and two-year college administrators, and teacher training institution administrators.

Language Proficiency: Spanish is required for Mexico, and recommended for Argentina.

Assignment: U.S. administrator will work together with the foreign administrator as a team, shadowing and sharing administrative duties. Exchanges may be in the areas of personnel administration, curriculum development, student affairs, or educational policy and methodology.

Terms of Agreement: Reciprocal visits of three to six weeks to each administrator's home institution, except Argentina which is three weeks only. Requires the U.S. administrator to obtain a leave of absence with or without pay from school authorities. U.S. grantees are expected to provide equivalent housing.

Other Allowances: Maintenance allowance, travel, and orientation costs will be covered by Fulbright.

Dependents: Not permitted.



Administrator Exchanges to Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Romania, Slovak Republic, Thailand, Turkey and the United Kingdom have been cancelled beginning in the 2008–2009 program year.
